Scantool error question
Hi, my scantool says "error 12, unknown" for my airbag system. When I look in the error code list it says "fault memory cannot be erased", but not what it means.
Does anyone know what it means and what I can do about it? Because now the warning light comes on every time I start the car.

the airbag system isn't included in the 964 error code list but I assume it is the same as for the 993. This is what the list says and I have error 12. Or is there an error list for the 964 airbag system that I don't have? I don't have any errors on the Motronic so it is not the code 12 - idle contact ground short.

If you are not getting the codes that the accelerometers are bad, then a possibility is that the clock circuit is the culprit. I had the problem of the solder connections being shot on the circuit board a few years ago, and followed the DIY by taking the clock cluster apart and resoldering the connections.
Since then, no light!
