Replacement Hood Shocks...
Well its time to replace the hood shocks. I did the drivers side with great difficulty a couple years ago and got by with out replacing the passenger side.
Now I think I need to do both. How on earth do you get your hand down in there to connect the lower mount?
Seems really tight on the passenger side.
Any tricks?

Thanks Marc for the write up. I used your DIY and was done in 13.37 minutes. I did not use the coat hanger, but I can see why that might help.
My hood opens wonderfully to the amazement of passers by as I fill it with groceries.

I also used Marc's writeup and it worked great. Thanks a lot, Mark! I'm not sure how I could have done it without the coat hanger - you need something about a foot long, and skinny, to get up under the spring-loaded clip and pull up, locking it in place. Also, get two new circlips for the top connector, as removal caused mine to fly, lost forever, into the nether regions of the trunk.

FYI..... i did not need to use the coat hanger method as my hood shocks popped right on with the clip in place. I was so happy, as there is no way to get your hand down in there or even see down there. You may wanna just try to pop them on first.
