drknauf: what are those rims, bbs?

and how did you load the images so that they come up with the post without being logged in?

as a cobalt owner I can tell you capturing the color difficult, it is never ever true, very elusive. frequently the photos look very good, but never do they really capture the depth. the red tones never make it to the photo. ask me how i know. as you can see, i didn't even bother choosing the best color for my avatar. my bet is that the RS is stunning, especially at dusk. and something about being at an oblique angle and wet, like when you are washing it.

Instead of attaching them to the thread (i.e. hosting on rennlist), he has them hosted on another site (flickr) then just embeds the link in image (IMG) tags.

I mean obviously a rs in Cobalt (or any color really) is at the top of the wish list but this one just looks a little drab. I know I have seen a few cobalt Porsches, Boxster, 993s and they are all different but the Schmitz car just looks unloved and unused for some reason. BTW-anyone know what they are asking for the car?
A really bad camera I would say, look at the pic on the intrerior and you see the blur and lack of colors.

And I also want to know the price on the RS, or do I?

It is hard to see in a photo, the color changes hues from shade to sunlight and from twilight to dark. You can really see the purple cast in these photos, Bill Verberg says it is the pink mixed into the paint.

It´s a rare colour for sure, I know only five 964:s with this colour in Sweden. Here´s some pictures of mine from last season. It´s a hard colour to capture on camera but I think Pehr did it well on his pictures, you must see it in real life to understand.

I don't think the photos of Cobalt are ever totally accurate: Sometimes in the reflections you see it but its never truly captured. See the red-ish glow below the level of the mirror. Dusk is best. Kinda ****ty phone camera photo but it's all I had at the moment.

They are not common but not uber rare. How many were made?

Thanks John. It's got a nice contrast and it's cold dry snow, the best kind really. Doesn't mess the tires or paint.

The photo is surprising to me because of the level of detail, I can easily read the wording on the tire. Camera phones sometimes come through I guess.

Seriously? That's a phone camera....? Makes it all the more amazing.... great composition and framing, good lighting and contrast, suppose this proves it's not the tool but who is wielding it...
(I am qualified to comment, as my father and twin brother both professional photographers )

PS. there's a (sarcastic) saying, something like... "buy a flute, and you are a flute owner", BUT, "buy a digital SLR camera, and you're a professional photographer"

I guess I'd call it luck. That and the fact that I park in that same spot 3 or 4 times a week some months if things are dry enough. Not that I take photos every time of course. It just happened to look good, and, if you ask me, has a rugged alpine sense that suits the 911's. That is Mt Superior in the background and it sure is.

Jocke,
I love the grey Porsche windshield banner on your car. Subtle.
