Wow - XC8 Light Rootwood shift ****! never seen that.. Also the stick looks longer than usual? is that right?
Not sure how the shifter length is compared to other cars. But I love the wood shift **** !!
12 way comfort seats and limited slip is sort of unique too.
Moving a post from Udo's personal thread to the common one. @911Jetta Apologies there! got caught up with a comment and responded.
Also, only me and Jetta shared info in the 964 Study/Registry thread. I can probably scan the pages here and then fill in the additional input of Cab/Coupe/Targa, MT/Tip, and Interior Color one weekend.
I did a color poll on FB, and here are the results:
If you also search BaT in the 964 sold/bid tile, you will actually see a good representation of color affinity. Red and Black dominant, followed by White, Slate Grey, then a sputter of colors.

Interesting, My experience shows me that Midnight blue and Polar silver are probably tied for most metallic 964's I have seen out of many many hundreds I looked at for people. I have seen well into multiple dozens of Amazon Green in fact not far behind and there might be as many Amazon green as Midnight blues. Seeing so many amethyst and cobalt cars amongst some of the others chime in on FB is a bit of surprise in comparison.
I like the idea of separating them by model. If you can try to figure turbo or wide bodies vs Narrow that would be great also.
^^ i was thinking the same, I have seen dozens of AG and silver cars, several Midnight Blues, even Yellow. Ditto Marine Blue and Tahoe, but very few Cobalt cars.
BTW one was a no sale at $51k on BAT today, I think he should taken it. Reseal masquerading as a rebuild.
Cell phone photographs. No filter or color adjustment. Most of y'all's photos don't really seem to show what Cobalt can offer. it is subtle though. Blink and you will miss it.
Wow the ultimate IMO turbo and cheap. The last one with miles like this sold for $2.2M. Although it had just delivery miles and was midnight. I think a premium is due for the color. That is gorgeous. Funny I purchased polished speedlines for mine years ago and hated the look but after seeing this they don't look bad. I did sell the polished ones but still have the RSR speedlines. I just picked up a Coupe that was originally cobalt but painted white and green. A real S or RSR is a bit rich for me so I plan to build a wide body RSR out of it and paint it cobalt. Sadly it will cost me as much to build the car I want as it would have cost me 15 years ago to buy a real one, but such is life.
So it is hard to see my vision but this will be cobalt again one day.

Nice wheels and photo. I have a set of those coming with the track car I just purchased. They look good.
