I have these. This is a few months ago thanks to Bob's kindness he allowed me to see it up close. Although I didn't get to sit in it.

Thanks Anthony. I've always preferred the traditional, non-slantnose front on 930s but this car is something completely different. With all the special features and touches that went into this car, the slantnose seems a good fit.

More pics? I'm greedy!

P.S. sorry to go off topic here, maybe Robert could start a new thread for this wonderful machine.

Your right although hearing it from Bob is so much more interesting than having it in writing. I think the stories can go on for hours there was so much that happened with these 2 cars and the factory. Each option is so unique and in many cases impossible to find replacement parts for.

With so much technology we should be able to do a webcast and have Rennlist members join in to listen to Robert tell the story. That would be cool.

I guess that would be up to Robert. Although it would be something special.

Is that an exhaust evacuation system in that messy old garage?

I recall that 930 has a leather top boot !

IIRC, the 7909 head unit is still one of the best ever made. Hard core car audiofiles still letch after it due to the lack of white noise the head unit doesn't(?!?) produce.

Sorry, back to the cars

And, as the car has 82 miles on it, the 7909 is hardly used.

I second the motion. There have been many other RL threads that have "pointed" to this one, and over the last few years I have come back here just to look at them again. It is one thing to see this unique & wonderful car in photos here,... but would be another to see it in person (I'm jealous Tony) - I would have to stand back 5 feet so as not to drool all over it. And then just to peruse the 32 pages of write-up on this car,... well that would be something for a museum,... and yes I would pay to enter.

love it.

LOL

Bob's cars are truly drool worthy. I love greens and blues and as much as my cobalt is my favorite color on a wide body I have to say the America GS is the best color I have ever seen on these cars. The interior is an acquired taste. But it is like caviar. You either love it or hate it. I wouldn't think twice about making Bob a trade but I would have to include my home in that as well. LOL
