Thread ressurection with extra info. I bought an oil pipe to thermostat adapter and then checked the thermostat I'd bought a while ago and found it already had adapter built in. When I went to change the thermostat to filter housing pipe the union came out of the filter housing rather than the pipe coming undone. The old union was pretty manky so i tried the unused thermostat union in it's place. It's a perfect fit. So if you need a union for your filter housing it's the same as the thermostat unit part number 90091500809. Much cheaper that a whole filter housing.
