US Cars - G64/00 or G64/02 transmission?

Looking through Streather's book and other sources, it is stated that the US Spec C4 came with the G64/02 from '89 to '91, then the G64/00 from 1992 on.
Just want to make certain for my Porsche spec database, can anyone confirm this?
