Rothsport Short Shifter - AWESOME!
I recently purchased one (found on ebay) and fellas I have to tell you it changed how my car drives, I love it. I highly recommend it. Make sure you call and speak with Jeff and make a detailed list of what the other parts are you'll want to buy and also appreciate that they don't have install procedures yet so you'll need to be comfortable with that on your own or you'll need to get with your shop to install it.
But I am seriously happy and this might be the best upgrade I've done to my car.
Nice work guys at RothSport!

Hi everyone,
I posted this in another thread awhile ago (sorry for the repeat), but I've been running Jeff's short shift setup for the last year, and couldn't concur more with the O.P.
Keep in mind that it REPLACES the shifter, ****, etc., so you will have a billet shifter to hold onto, but I personally love the look - nice accent with Rennline pedals! - and really like how solid it feels at hand. FYI - in my case, we simply folded the shift boot down inside itself a little to provide a very finished appearance.
Regards,
Dave

Contact Steve Weiner @ Rennsport Systems - email: porsche@rennsportsystems.com / ph: 503.244.0990
Steve and Jeff Gamroth are partners.
They have done an incredible job on my 911 and i can attest to their integrity and expertise.
The attention to detail is staggering, especially when it seems there is a proliferation of
"tuner" shops for 911s that have neither the technical experience or the race history these guys have.

Mjshira-
I see you are in IN.
You must run Putnam Park?
DaveConn and I are there quite a bit in our Rennsport / Rothsport built 911s-
what events and with whom do you run?
We should join up at some point and do some barnstorming...LOL!

Nine11 - the shifter is approx. 1-1/2" taller than OEM. I can't comment on the DIY, though, as I had Jeff do the install when he was in there doing other work as well.
Low - the reason I chose this unit is because the 1990 chassis cannot easily acommodate the factory RS parts. There have been write-ups on RL in the past about how to get it done, but the bottom line for me was that the RS parts were NOT designed for my (1990) chassis, and Jeff's unit is, without having to modify the tunnel, etc. I honestly can't quote price (as I mentioned above there was a bunch of other stuff being done - this was certainly MINOR in comparison ), but I would check Jeff's eBay site, or call Jeff directly (503-885-9626), or Steve Weiner as Nick mentioned.
