Default Stupid roll bar question

Has anyone ever tried to fit a pre-89 roll bar to a 964? Just wondering what differences there are, and if it would work or not. Just always see a bunch of early bars for sale, and not a lot of 964/993 bars. Thanks.

i put on Autopower bar on my C2 (w/ sunroof) that i bought for my '72 911.

Everything fitted fine except, I'm 6'... the top bar sits a little too low it blocks the rear view mirror halfway... but i think thats how it is on most bars for our cars coz they all come w/ sunroof and the bar needs to clear it (i think... not sure ). but if you're a 5'9"-5'10" you're good coz the angle changes a bit.

You can gain some vision angle with the mirror if you rotate it 180 degrees, basically using it "upside down".

I think it will help you. I have been doing it for years in 911 coupes, as I sit fairly tall and the roll bar/cage is always in my vision with a stock mirror.
