Porsche Mechanic in Northwest Virginia
Hi,
I am considering buying a 964 which is located in a town called Winchester in Virginia. Does anyway know of a competent mechanic in that area that can do a ppi on the car?

Yes, Winchester is about 15 or so miles away from Summit Point Raceway and there is an excellent P mechanic there (at the track). I can't remember the name of the business, but ask for Billy at 304-728-8222.
They rebuilt my buddy's SC motor and trans and did a great job.

If the Summit Point mechanic doesn't work out, Washington, D.C. + Northern Virginia is only 75 minutes from Winchester, and the area is loaded with independent Porsche shops: Intersport, German Auto Group (ask for Taylor Chapman), IMA, AutoSportGroup, RPM in addition to four or five Porsche dealers (HBL, Tischer, Porsche of Arlington,Porsche of Annapolis, Porsche of Rockville).
