Replacement identification Label under hood?
Hi Guys, does anyone know if or how to get a replacement identification label (yes, the one with all the serial numbers on it) thats normally under the hood? My car didn't come with one and since purchasing it I have found out how important this label is. Cheers

I have heard it said that Porsche will not re-issue those labels. If you have the original in the service book you could just photocopy it and make a new label from that.

That would be close except that the label in the book doesn't have the 'definition' titles on the left side. You could perhaps take a good quality photo of someone else's, scan your book label, photoshop them together, then print onto a sticky label. Would take some trial and error though.

Ok, sounds like I've got some photoshop work ahead of me. Does anyone know the measurements of the label and is it just printed on adhesive paper or something more permanent?

Maybe search the 356 forum for paper sticker-replacement pointers & tips?

The one in my 964 is as good as new yet the one in my 996TT is very faded and hard to read. Must have cut down on the ink quality over the years

Hello 964 enthusiasts,
I am re-opening an older post hoping to see if anyone might have suggestion/recommendation on how to deal with missing white label underneath the hood.
Today I came across a decent looking 964 but immediately noticed the hood white label was not at its usual place - gone from re-painting of the hood according to the seller. That's strange to me as the label is affixed inside and no need to get rid of it for repainting outside. Seller claims the repaint work was due to rock chips from road over the years but guaranteed no frontal accident. Hmm...
The matter got more suspicious as the original service book also did not have the white label attached. The space on the booklet page where the white label would normally be affixed to was clean - no sticky mark that might indicate label was removed. The book was stamped with service records though.
VIN and Carfax are clean and both match the VIN label on the windshield area. I did not remove the frunk carpet to check the VIN by the fuel tank. Should I be worrying anything else or ordering a COA from Porsche to validate its authenticity even though the car does drive fine?
Thanks for any inputs in advance.

Hi Joaquin, do you still make the vehicle id stickers to go into the service books?

Thanks everyone who has responded to my recent post regarding the missing white label affixed underneath the hood and the alternate one that came with the service booklet. The 964 that I have been in discussion with the seller does not have either label. And I doubt ordering a CoA from Porsche will provide me the original option info for the vehicle. Without knowing the option code info, the re-making of the label will not work
