Would an Autothority chip cause the WOT code retrieval thing to not work?
My car is throwing a CEL under high engine load. I have tried the WOT code retrieval thing, to no avail, the CEL doesn't ever flash. I have checked that the WOT switch is working, it is, and checked, to the best of my knowledge, that the signal is getting to the ECU.
Any insight would be much appreciated.

IIRC, I had the same problem when I had the Authority setup. I went back to stock and it works...
You might be able to borrow a diagnostic tool from the team here and read the codes that way. There was a version available, but I don't know who has it right now. Search?

And the answer is... yes.
I found a used SW chip for sale, bought it, installed it, and now the code retrieval thing works. Hopefully the check engine light is also gone.
