Default a police car... cabriolet?

Huh -- not exactly my first image if asked: "Picture a Euro cop car."

(Dutch)

Me thinks that wouldn't be a real-life copy... no rollover support

Yup, **** poor accuracy to the real-deal:

and, nope -- they didn't get the stripe colors wrong. Seems there's separate left and right-side colors.
(Very meticulous, those Dutch.)

I stand corrected!

Dang -- No joy with that link.
Would you please imbed the photo in your post?

Would really like to see how they handled that big, honking blue police light, if at all, on the cab version.

There have been Porsche Police cars since the 356s, particularly with the Dutch. Somewhere floating around the Internet is a often used picture of a 356 Cab police car where the officer is parked in the middle of an intersection and standing in the Cab while he directs traffic.

The reason for the police to use porsche on the highway, was the cooling when driving backwards

Thanks!

(Are those leathers? Reminded of "Fahrenheit 451" fireman outfits. Boy, worn with matching helmet, that'd either win outright, or weird 'em out completely at Parade Concourse.)

This was all illuminating for me.

Maybe I missed it, but why are they all Cabs or Targas?

Cabs is short for Cabriolet or convertible, targa is the roof style that looks like american-made T-top kind of cars

I was just wondering why they used the Cabs and Targas as opposed to a coupe...

I wasn't kidding when I posted earlier that they literally park the car in the center of an intersection, stand up inside the car, and direct traffic from that position when there is a traffic jam.

You've got to admire the Dutch, they smoke dope speak five languages and their Police drive Porsches.
Although in this case they were pursuing one, in a Volvo
