C4 interior color
Thanks to those who offered suggestions for sources of leather dyes.
The sticker on the inside of the luggage compartment lid of my 1990 Carrera 4 shows "NK" as the interior color (Exterior is L550, linen metallic.). I cannot find "NK" on any of the options lists. Can anyone tell me what color this is, so that I can order dye?

You cannot easily decode "NK" to a simple color code. The two letter code embodies many, many selections of interior trim and Ihave never seen a decode of their meaning. Even in Adrian Streather's latest "decode" book the interior colors are not mentioned in any detail.

Hey Jeff,
I don't know which dye you decided to go with but porsche probably has a company they work with who will have standard porsche colors ready to go. This used to be a company called color-plus (I don't know anything else about them), but it may be someone else now:

James944,
Color-Plus are still doing business - thanks for the tip. The question now is what color my seats, shift boot, etc. are. I have attached a couple of photos in the hope that someone can tell me (My guess is Linen.), but I fear that the flash has made this impossible. In that event, I shall have to wait until Spring comes to Pittsburgh, as it's too cold right now to do this out of doors.

Sorry, but no thoughts. It appears that the only way one can decode the two letter interior color codes is with Porsche's help. That said, you might be able to match you color to that shown on one or the other of the following websites for leather parts and dyes.

Gentlemen, thanks. If I had been able to get a good photo (without the flash and in sunlight, which is in short supply this time of year in SW PA) the leather would have shown a slight yellowish cast, so I'll go with those who call it Linen and order my leather dye.
