Default RSR/Cup Heater Fan Delete Kit **Product Release** $70

RSR/Cup Heater Fan Delete Kit **Product Release**

Removing the blower motor assembly from your 1989-98 964/993 is a very standard modification for cars that want to loose a few pounds. This modification reduces your cars weight by about 10 pounds and really cleans up the engine bay. This kit is an exact replica as used by Porsche Motorsports for the factory lightweight 964 CUP and 964 RSR race cars. Manufactured from aluminum and is available in Red and Black Powder coat or clear anodized. Comes with all the stainless steel hardware required for a 20 minute installation. Will not work on Turbo cars..

To purchase this item please click here for 964's or here for 993's!

Please explain the logic of vents in the plate on top of the alternator housing. Why direct air that would normally be used to cool the cylinders into the engine compartment? BTW- I'm not referring to the distributor vent hose hole but those around it.

Yea, seems silly. I made my own out of ABS plastic. Took me all of 10 min and looks great. I removed my fan motor as soon as the rules said I could. Just one less thing in the way.

$70? That must be with the 99% Porsche tax applied to it.

The RSR used this because there were no heater boxes around the exhaust headers. The Cup cars had heater boxes and a bypass pipe instead of a block off plate.
