engine bay decals
hello,
I have a Euro spec 964 motor in my RSR replica and wondered if someone could assist me with clear scans of photos of the decals that would normally appear in the engine bay on a 964.
thanks in advance
Johnny B

thanks for info guys. I want clear photos or scans as I have a 964 motor in my RSR replica which is a 912 chassis and I want to get them made to fit perfectly on the chassis but so it looks like the factory did it.
clear photos or scans would be appreciated

Below, some ad hoc position identification for the coming discussion.
FWIW, I've seen a few different 4 & 5's depending on the year, advertising campaign and original sales market.
#1-3 have been pretty consistent.
(And since I recently tossed my old spark wires and with them, my bubbled-up, ratty #2 & 3 pair -- and I've never had anything for 4 & 5 -- this thread is quite interesting to me.)

My workshop managed to peel off my Nr.5 and I have been searching FleaBay and afar ever since to replace it. Time for a whole new set, all I have left is the firing order.

Off a California '93 C2:
1R: 964.701.141.01 (mfr ID + A/C identification; bilingual)
1L: 964.006.111.00 (engine oil checking instructions.; trilingual)
3: 964.602.544.01 (firing order + distributor hook-up diagram; trilingual)
5: 930.006.543.02 ("Factory Fill Shell Fuels and Shell Lubricants"; bilingual)
There's also this wierd little rectangular non-numbered silver decal with green lettering, located right about where #5 is in the picture.
It says: "Engine is fitted with electronic octane™ knock control"
(I kid you not -- ™)
If anyone has the part number for decal #2, a post would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I had 250 of the now NLA Shell Oil decals screen printed and have been flogging them on Ebay. Shameless self promotion, but if anyone wants one, they are item number 260338945775 . I have sold quite a few, but still need to get rid of alot more to break even ( had 250 made - minimum order, and all I wanted was one for my car! ). If enough of you guys want them in the States, I can sort out a better price and postage to one address. Another Rennlister does some of the other NLA decals, but I shall let them name themsleves if they want to.
PS numbers 1 and 1A are both still available from Porsche, but one of them is now silver, a la 993, rather than the original gold foil. Both silly money, but what do we expect.

Thanks, Meek, for decal 5.
Went to eBay (# 260338945775) and, yup, that's exactly what the old tattered one on my engine looks like.
And you're right -- can't beat the price.
Decal #2 looks like, below -- available from e-Bay.
Per the ebay description (e.g. @ 250349622065), this is "for the Porsche 911 964 pre 1992 that runs the R12 coolant in the Air Conditioning system."
No P/N was given.
Advertised as being no longer factory-available.

1989 various USA pics
Here's a picture synopsis of various 1989 (C4) USA sales I came across.
(And, NO, I didn't record where these came from in case you're looking for a car)
(First, last, and only year for Decal 4? Seems so...)
