The good thing about vinyl is - if you wanted to you could make a small template of the reverse light area out of hard board . Then once you install the vinyl you could lay the template over the reverse light and carefully cut the vinyl out from the reverse light area - so taht portion would not be affected or covered -

Another "good fix" found on Rennlist. I'm interested in this kit and like the pictures of the fianl results. I'll PM "GUS" for ordering instructions. Do you think it would make an improvement to my current lens?

I just installed my "kit" from Gus this AM. It went on easy and is probably the best $50 I have spent on the car. What a difference. I had the translucent paint sitting on my workbench when I saw this thread about the vinyl film and decided it might hide the small cracks I have better than the paint.
It looks fantastic. Gus has included all the tools necessary to do a good job installing and it only took about an hour and I took my time.
Thanks Gus!

All -
Yesterday I installed gus' kit. As illustrated in the pictures, the improvement is pretty dramatic. I sat down with a hair dryer and the instructions, cleaned off the tail lights, consumed a casual adult beverage - and 30 mins later I was done. It was a great experience. Thanks a ton gus. Awesome.
* chronological order is messed up ..... note picture names for order......
Just want to throw in..... Rennlist has been a tremendous resource for me in buying and maintaining my 964. Thanks for all the help.
Now that this is taken care of, time to throw down for those new valve covers and new tires...... on the look-out for some colored wheel crests if anyone has/knows the location of any.......

CraigC and CMN - Glad that you are please with the kit - Thanks for the words - glad you kept it to a casual adult beverage / did you limit it to one or do you think that with an install time of over an hour we could up the beverage consumption to 2?? - car looks great - what is the color?? I really like it -

Thanks a ton - Oak green Metallic. I think me and streetfighter are the only two with oak green... kept it to one casual during the process, but quickly ramped up the frat soda consumption upon completion. Thanks again Gus.
