Thanks for the kit Gus! Great directions. I thought I screwed it up twice thanks to my "measure once & cut twice" approach but I like the results. Big improvement.

My results look about like this ^ as well. I was a bit nervous doing it and thought I screwed up several times but in the end, I am happy with it and it has held up well over the past year. Great to have a member Gus provide a useful product for so many years.

Just installed my film kit last night. It looks great. I was a bit concerned that it would look fake, but it doesn't. If you get up close (a couple of feet away), you can still see the crazing underneath, but I expected that and my car isn't about impressing people who are 2 feet away.
Sorry for the less than stellar after shots, but my digital camera is DOA after the before shots and the Crackberry doesn't work so well as a camera.
Was very easy and only had the one beer, as per the instructions. Did it with all the lights on the car.

Vinyl TL kit
Mindp0wer,
have not had any interest in the tail light kit for about 2 years. I am not sure if I have a few kits made up or not, will have to check and get back to you. I can ship to Belgium but overseas shipping has become very expensive over what it use to be.
Will get back to you.

For UK drivers!
I had a go with some cheap ebay vinyl. Got red and amber, only £10.
I made the whole centre strip red, but added small cutouts over the reverse lenses, similar to one of the posts above.
For the corners I started at the edge of the amber part and, using an existing straight edge on the vinyl, worked back towards the edge.
Then, using amber vinyl, I covered the indicator lens and used a straight edge to cut where the next red part starts, then finished off with a straight edged part of red vinyl.
The eagle-eyed amongst you will notice that the amber parts are not the same on both sides!
At first I was experimenting and thought that I could avoid the raised lettering to get a better seal against the plastic. Unfortunately this means part of the LHS indicator shows red at the inside edge.
But, for the RHS I just lined it up with the lamps. Once enough heat and rubbing is applied to the vinyl it doesn't really matter about the lettering.
(Oh well, I'll have to redo part of the LHS to match)
It was a bit fiddly, but got there in the end!
It looks great without the lights on, but still shows the spidering when they are lit!
Cheers
