Valve Adjusting Screwdriver orders...everyone get their order in?
Hi guys,
I just wanted to be sure that everyone got their order in for the VAS...
https://rennlist.com/forums/964-forum/469712-valve-adjusting-screwdriver-taking-orders.html
before I go and do the first run... I have a reasonable number of them to make, but fewer than the original "interest" list.. (not surprising...) Just so I don't miss anyone, please make sure if you want one in January, to let me know.
Everyone who has ordered so far will definitely get one the first round.
Thanks.

Someday -- maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of their lives -- our successors will be swamped by cheap Chinese knock-offs flooding the market w/ fall-apart, 43-degree "9M valve screwdrivers"... and they'll look back at this time w/ envy -- when craftsman-grade 36-degree jewels could be ordered for a song... by paypal.
Here's looking at you, kid.

Santa came early for me because I needed to do the valves. The tool works at least as well as a feeler gage, based on the cross-checks with a dial indicator. It takes a lot less skill, although you need to take care not to close the gap as the jam nut is tightened.
You will still need a feeler gage for the intake valve behind the PS pump. That one might be reachable if you take the engine tin off on that side, and work it from the bottom.

ok, so how do we use them?
Close the valve, fix a starting point with the first pin and turn until you hit the same point with the other pin? that will give the clearance required? Is it that easy?
sorry if there is a thread with photos of how to use it... I did not see it...
Seems like a great tool to own if it is that simple...

I have been out of town on business the last 2 weeks and missed the link to the paypal site. Anyone have it handy. I was one of the original ones wanting to get this tool. TIA
