Need advice from an expert
Dear All
I have a 1989 964 C$.
I would like to put in a Steve Wong Chip + light weight fly wheel and clutch (possibly from FVD.de). Has anyone tried this combination in a C4 from 1989 ?
With 120.000 Km on the clock would you recommend that as well ?
Thanks a lot

Hi F
It all depends on what you want to achieve. The RS clutch and flywheel will transform the car in some way - easier to revmatrch etc - but it will mean more tranny noise and some have reported stalling issues.
With regards to chips, are you installing one to try to minimise the stalling or for some power gain? If power gain, please remember that if you gain even as much as 25hp(which may be unlikely)...you won't be able to feel it very easily on the road, so is it worth it? Only you can judge....

Steve Wong has been very helpful with me, creating a chip profile for exactly that setup. My car has LWF + AC, and has no problems with stalling. He is a very careful and reasonable developer. If you want a LWF, then I'd have no reservations with the setup.
