Well here's some "orgy of self congratulation" shots after having finally finished the AppBiz supplied Perlon felt RS carpet set and door cards.
What an unbelievable bitch was the interior removal/clean up; as I now understand that the Porsche spec is inclusive of their glue recipe. Any next step on the adhesive continuum I think would have to come from God himself !
Anyway, all underlayment/sound insulationnow binned in the dietary quest. Inside sound level a bit interesting owing to these most recent alterations, above engine insulating pad long gone and strait-thru Dansk aft of cat.
Enjoy the shameless pix as I have a hubris moment.

Absolutely LOVE the Ruf houndstooth inserts!! The car looks a treat... congratulations on a fabulous upgrade. I have seen those accelerator pedals with the heel downshift pad on eBay. Do you find it much of an improvement on a standard pedal?

That looks friggin wicked! I mean, awesome!... What I mean to say is that it looks really nice.
Now you are going to tell me that you did not take step by step photos when installing the carpet???
I have a new carpet set (got it from the same company) sitting in the garage waiting to go in... but wanted to see if I could get someone here to post photos of the process.

I did not take in process photos as I was using some from members here that documented the process. search should get you the pix but you'll still be in for a fair bit of head scratching.
Be especially careful when fitting the forward console piece as a number of adjacent pieces depend on the proper placement of that.
AppBiz saved me by sending out a new piece after I'd fecked it up. And they were a pleasure to do business with but I'm still mystified why they can't provide instructions and piece part numbering.

Derek:
Wheels be Work "Brombacher" in 17 x 8 & 9. Work built me non cleared rims which I love. Converesly a cleared rim is always to have its' coating eventually fail; and I didn't want that hassle.
Fit and quality is everything I'd hoped for +
Cheers mate.

Love it. Those RUF inserts on the red car really look good. That is one great install coming from someone who knows how much of a challenge it is. Porsche definitely makes the best cars AND the best glue!!!

An interesting little back story on the Ruf fabric is that when I got the Recaro PP's a couple years back I was very interested in grabbing up a second set of pads covered in Ruf houndstooth. I'd always loved the look.
A call to Wayne @ Ruf Dallas on weather he would provide just the houndstooth fabric brought zero joy. Subsequently 'twas off to Google and after much diligence discovered that the Ruf pattern is dead-nuts the same as Chevy Camaro resto shops use for restoring the '68-'69 model year cars that were spec'd with the GM OE houndstooth interior. I found a shop in Oregon with scads of the material who was happy to hear me read them my credit card #.
An upholsterer that my wife was using at the time sourced thru her shop custom cut the foam pieces that perfectly replicated the original Recaro pads and, viola, Ruf houndstooth inserts.

Isn't it a nice feeling when you start to glue in the new pieces?! When everything was out of my car i thought "what have I done..." But when the new carpet set got in there piece by piece the smile on my face just got bigger and bigger!
Wachuko: I have photos, step-by-step that I've e-mailed to a bunch of guys here. Just let me know if I can help out!

There's a difference between the oe Porsche hounds tooth (what you refer as Ruf) and the Camaro stuff...I did consider it. But most people can't tell the difference nor do they care. I was certifiably insane when I bought my oe material....I don't know if I'd do it again and think the price difference and difficulty of acquiring oe material probably goes in favor of using the camaro stuff. I think you seats look good.
