Default 964 odometer/tripmeter problem

I have a 90 C4 and my odometer and trip meter have stopped working. The speedo is fine. I made the mistake of pushing the reset for the trip meter while driving. Any help would be appreciated

It's fixable. You can send it in to one of the speedo shops or DIY it if you're feeling froggy.

There's a speedo shop here in Austin that has a good reputation. It's somewhere in the vicinity of $100, I think, to send it in and have it repaired.

I had this problem and did it myself for $25 + shipping. The instructions are somewhere in that first reply. It was pretty easy - just go slow and be careful not to scratch the bezel or the glass.

Make sure when you put the new gears in that you work them together a little before you put it all back together - mine were a tight fit and were binding a little. A few turns by hand and they meshed right up nice.
