A late update on my electrical issues: I didnt want to speak too soon again, but I appear to have finally got it. After noticing that the problem got worse upon decelerating I should have known that it was my battery ground strap. I actually tightened it at the beginning of this whole episode, but that didnt do it. I bought a new one and replaced the old, (along with the tranny ground strap) and it looks like my issues are finally behind me. I should have realized that when the car shifted forward when I let off the throttle that the battery moved just enough to interrupt the questionable connection and make things worse. So after new caps/rotors, coils, some wires and other goodies it looks like the ground strap was it. Thanks for all the help on this one folks! Now if only I could find the post from the other poor soul with the same issue and help him/her out.
