Default tiptronic paddle shifter

has anyone looked into a paddle shift for the tips? I have been thinking about converting the cruse control lever into a paddle shift. from what i understand the standard tip just uses micro switch's. anyone know if this is possible or if there is a paddle shift wheel available for the 964's.

there was a thread on it a few years ago. Probably wont be able to find it with the search now. I forgot if he got it working or not. I believe it was using a after market wheel and not the cruise.
