does anyone have any idea of where oil could leak from behind the belt pulley and run down the crank case?

i'm sure its running down from up there somewhere, i could see some kind of cap held on with two 10mm nuts or something?

how does the pulley come off?

any pictures?

It looks like it could be from the crankshaft seal or (less likely) the intermediate shaft cover o-ring. Both are easy to replace.

how does the pulley come off? i took the bolt out, but ti wouldnt budge, it was a sunday and i had to get it back together to get the car back in the garage...

There is a special tool that screws into where the bolt you took out goes and it presses against the crank and pulls the pully off. You can make one by grinding a bolt down. I have the Porsche tool.

the seals are already on order, so thats the last chance next week to get it fixed...

Here ya go. You can see that it's threaded at the top. That part screws into the pulley and the rest of it presses it outward against the crankshaft.

Hopefully it's just the seal.
