Default Speedster headlight lenses

Does anyone know a part number or availability on these aero style Speedster headlight lenses?

They're different than any other similar year 964? (-- not my first suspicion.)

Those are the early style lenses from VW Beetles up to -66. I t's a mod people used to do on race cars for better "aero". I think RUF also used them on the first yellow bird. It's a direct replacement.
I think they gice a nice and clean look, but they are not stock for the 964.

So I'm assuming if you had H4 Lights all you need to do is buy pre 66 VW bug light lenses and switch them Porsche lenses, thats it ?

Yes, they will fit in a H4 light without any mods. I almost did it but bought the yellow plastic lenses instead. You will maybe lose some sharpness in the beam, but if you don't use your car as a daily driver on dark country roads you'll probably not see the difference.

I saw these on a car here in Sweden and it looks really cool. In some way a bit more modern than the stock lenses.

I am thinking this has to be on my mod list now.

So with an H4, you can simply change the lense to one like this? Are there any OE supplier branded lenses?

just some more..when I called a VW custom/part store to order them the guy thought it was a bit odd because normaly it's the other way around. the beetle owners order Porsche lenses to update their beetles.

Just to be clear...I haven't tried to fit these myself. But the guy who had the car I saw said it was a straight fit and the guy in the VW store said they would fit in a H4. So it SHOULD be a straight fit.
