Fabio: Thanks for the thoughts...but a 136K car for $16K is a very different car than a 42K car for $22K. Maybe it's just me, but by the time a car gets in the 75K - 90K range I'm ready to sell it and let someone else deal with the maintenance headaches and costs that start at that point. From my perspective, the extra $6K buys a car that's barely been driven and that I can drive for several years and sell for about my same purchase price. Hopefully, the lower miles will equate to a lot of life left in the car's components so I (again hopefully) don't have to sink a lot of cash into maintenance and parts replacement. It's a tried & true method I've used for years to essentially drive for "almost" free...except for the costs of routine maintenance and any upgrades. The books and aircompressor I can pick up at swap meets or classifieds for <$100. By the way, I know you are now looking for a 968 / 944 series...did you see the 40K mile 944 Cabrio triple black on e-Bay?

Bearclaw: Thanks and yeah the 205 sized tire all around are kinda odd...especially the off-brand. Whats strange is how good the car actually rides and handles with these nearly new tires! It confirms for me that the prior owner simply wanted a trophy in the garage that he drove carefully on sunny weekends. His limited amount of mileage further confirms it. At least he didn't skimp at the dealer for things like the clutch. It was nice of him to preserve the car for me!

Fab -You cant compare a 136K car to a 42K car does not matter how mint it is. I just bought my C4 & have been keeping a close eye on the market. IMHO prices have dropped for 964's but you are close at $22k if 92-94 maybe a little over if 90-91.

Wow, congrats. I have a 1990 C2 as well. About to get the engine built due to the leaky engine. +1 for the cup 1's over the D90's. Enjoy!

Well I'm NEW to. Just picked up a 89 C4 last week. NC market is really soft. haha. Well 80K miles helps as well.

Thanks for the mirror trick. I hadn't a clue what that switch was. haha.

I will try and get picks up soon.
