Default Beeping won't stop / Lights work fine

Done my search and have some clues. Just triple checking if there are other checks. Car has been laid up for about 2-3 weeks while I did some maintenance. The AWD and ABS lights go out after the 4mph rule (as the manual states) but the beeping goes on and on and on………

Now I also cleared the forward and aft AWD sensors so immediately I’m panicking thinking I did something wrong. One was exceptionally clean, the other just a small amount of metal dust. Went in and out with no issue, warning lights go out as they always did. ABS fuctions.

I found a post that says it could be the battery level, I’ll throw the charger on to see if this cures the issue.

Any other feedback is appreciated.

Did you pull the error codes? They might give you some clues as to what the problem may be.

I do not own a scan tool. Checked the batt, level seems fine.
I'll have to do some more searching tomorrow. After reading more posts on the issue I can't seem to find any scenarios where the lights went out but the beeping occurred, everyone seems to have fault lights at the same time.

I had a similar problem recently. I have checked several items but have not yet isolated the cause.

Ah, now I will have to look there as well. I did also do some work under the dash, maybe I knocked it loose?
Thanks Rob

One of the small connections at the VDO box was not locked in, I doubt this is the cause though.
I can't test it until later today (noise). I did see the relay you pictured in your post. Is that were the source of your beep is coming from? Mine is the speaker that is apparently connected to the ! button. Located beside the tach.

My noise was coming from the speaker next to the tach, too. Its been a while since I thought about this and I don't have the wiring diagrams with me at the office. But I seem to remember that the relay shown controls can trigger the beep noise. The beep itself is controlled by the "central informer" box which is next to the relay. Its the silver box at the top of the picture in my thread.

Yes Garry, correct, my bep was related to the ABS warning speaker (next to the tach)

Found the white locking plug hanging out today after Rocket's picture post. Back in, reset batt and double checked underhood relays and fuses for good measure and all is working back to normal.

! button works as stated in the manual, lights go out as they should. All seems fine for now. (even the washer fluid light works!)
