Anyone had this problem - the door was occasionally not shutting.
After a bit of headscratching i traced it to the wiring by jiggling the
feed through the door to the bulkhead. This fixes it for a while , but
need to look for the loose connection ( at the door lock ? )
Hi Rob , the door wont latch sometimes, sorry for not being clearer.
The car has only done 15k miles, there is no wear. If i move the wiring tube it works easily again.

If you mean that the latch has gone down and the door just bounces back of the stay then mine does it. I think i it just down to a lack of use.
I did try to keep mine lubricated and open it and close it a few times whenever i use the car but it still happens occasionally - usually in front of crowds of people. Arggghhhhh...........
Whoa! It is like you guys read my mind. Anybody got pics of these "wires" or can explain where they are on the door? My passenger doors loves to "bounce back" whenever I have a female passenger who wants a ride in my sexy sportscar. Ten minutes of slamming later and the door finally latches shut - but only after destroying every last shred of pride I have. Oddly enough, cold temperatures sometimes cause it to happen to *both* doors. On one particularly cold night, I had to drive home with a rope tied between the door handles to keep them from flying open - not exactly the safest way to drive. Drives me freaking INSANE.
The photo you posted, is that the wires you adjusted and the door would close ok for a while? It makes me wonder if someone has routed extra wires inside the rubber boot. Are you aware of any electrical wiring changes to your door? Perhaps the installation of some aftermarket stereo speakers?
If yes, I would be tempted to pull back the rubber boot and look to see what is inside it.
Hi Steve - mine does the same as yours - but is fixed temporarily by jiggling the wires ! Try it ?
I'm confused.
Mine seems to be as a result of the latch going in to the locked position downward and therefore won't attach to the stay near the rear lid release. In this situation the door handle on the outside is quite loose and won't release the latch but a couple of swift (mild) slams does.
Are we saying this is now down to wires near to the door hinge?
