Hi Torque Starter - available
Does anyone make a hi torque starter (the lightweight ones with a smaller motor and gear reduction) for 1990 C4?
Have done a search but no result for 964.
The reasons I ask is that my starter is straining a bit especially when hot and I have had a competent auto electrician test the battery and current available at the starter and the earth and all is ok so the starter looks suspect.
And -- in looking through my car's service file I see two previous starter jobs - a rebuild at about 100ks and a replacement at 140ks and now, as said, sluggish at 190ks -- so I seek an alternative and if it's lighter so much the better.
