Does anyone know who makes specially colored powder coated roall bars that will fit a 964 RS America. I am looking for a red powder coated roll bar for my 964 RS America.

DAS make great roll bars for the 964 and come bare metal so can be powder-coated any colour you want.
CDOC (www.CDOC.com), a Rennlist sponsor, sell them.

RS America with or without sunroof? There is a difference. They will both fit, but if you have a non-sunroof car, the non-sunroof bar gives you more visibility from the rear window.
I just picked up a DAS Sport roll bar for a non-sunroof coupe and painted it myself. You can do this easily on your own with a couple of cans of spray paint of your choice.

FYI, there are plenty of used DAS bars out there now that PCA changed the rules from bar to full cage for racing. One of my local shops had 2 for the 964 sunroof in stock at $500 each. Nice thing about the used bar is somebody else paid $1k for it, then a few hundred to strip and prepare (primer) and then paint. So I paid $500 for one and had my shop "scuff and shoot" for $200 (rough up and paint GP white). So for $700 I have a professionally prepared and painted bar.
I think automotion honors the 15% discount on a new bar for PCA members if you go new...

I learn something new every day. Thanks Ron for the info.
Ilko, why don't you show us pictures of your new project. Did you paint the bar red or orange??

Bolts in at rear outboard seat belt mount bolts holes and front seatbelt inertial reel bolt holes.
Seartback have to come out (and stay out) and rear side trim panels have to come out (but can be put back in once the bar is installed).

Not all RSA's need the weld-in kit.
Alan, once you remove the "stowage bins" check to see if you have threaded holes for rear seats. If you have them then it's just bolt in. If not, CDOC sells a kit that needs to be welded in the car before you can bolt in the roll bar.
I have no experience with the safety devices roll bar unfortunately.

That the weird part about RSAs. It is hard to imagine that they would use anything but regular 964 tubs. Maybe somewhere along the process they figured they could just skip a step for a car that was being built as an RSA. Thanks for the clarification.
