Bigger Throttle Body
A guy helping me prepare my 1993 RSA (3.8L) race car is suggesting I look at an larger throttle body system.
I have the Motronic ignition system, which he suggests I keep. He likes MSD but says I really can't beat what I have.
My questions are:
Has anyone done this?
Did you see a measureable housepower gain? If so, how much? I'm currently approx. 270 rwhp.
What were any other advantages or shortcomings?
What system did you go with?
I race in PCA GT-3S. Will I stay legal?
Any other questions I should have asked and didn't?
If it sounds like I'm asking elementary uninformed questions, there's good reason for that

I purchased a 964 RS throttle body, but I haven't installed it yet. My mechanic says that it should be good for 10-15 HP on my stock engine; could be more with a 3.8?
You will likely need to remap your DME chip so it doesn't run too lean.

Silly me - I really need to learn to do more research before I buy parts off eBay!
As Geoffrey tactfully points out, while the throttle body I purchased (964 110 128 00) is an RS part, it is not unique to the RS. In fact, since I have already upgraded to the later plastic manifold, I currently have this exact part on my engine.
