Default How do I remove the front hub of a C2

Yes, it's a simple question but I just can't figure out how to do it. It's "easy" on the rear with the transsmisión, but at front, once the screw there is no place where the extractor can be pushed against.

Thanks.

I think you need to explain what information you are after as what you have said makes little sense!
Are you refering to the brake disc or the actual hub?????

The actual hub. Brake disc is out but not the hub. I can figure how to take the bearings out (hope so), but not the fronts hub of a C2.

You looked at the DIY on p-car.com? I'm pretty sure it's covered as part of the wheel bearing replacement write-up.

That write up is for the rear were you can use the drive shaft for the puller. There is no drive shaft on a C2...

You can pull it out by using a slide hammer bolted to the hub. I pulled the hub on my C4 last summer in that way.

A slide hammer doesn't push, it pulls.

Against the wheel studs...........you bolt 3 lugs tight to the hub and.................PULL!!!!! Then get the stub axle into a press and remove the outer race that surely stayed attached.

I guess I just don't know how to use a slide hammer. Any images or videos?

Thanks.

Don't use a slide hammer. There is a tool available that will pull the hub out. It is manufactured by SIR tools and you can get it from EBS Racing.

That's a nice looking set. Unfortunely it's hard to get those set shipped to Spain. I'll try to build one myself.

I'll week you update.

Thanks again.
