Surprisingly, the car started right up tonight after a little time on a battery charger. It's missing now on one cylinder, but the fuel is ancient and the car's been sitting for years. I'll get some new fuel in her ASAP.
With the car up on the lift, I removed the heavy aluminum engine skid plate and the lighter aluminum front skid plate that was twisted up under the car after the crash. The transaxle is marked:
G6400 3L00925
I think I recall the original stock transaxle had a hydraulic cylinder on the right side near the half shaft, which must have locked up the rear diff when it was called for. On this transaxle, that's blocked off with a plate.
I did not remove the torque tube skid plate to see what slave cylinder arrangement is on the front of the transaxle. I assume I'll find something there that the dash-mounted master cylinder acts on?
