Interesting. The C4 posted 0-60 in 5.0 seconds in their test. What was the factory quote for 0-60? Something like 5.4 seconds?

Interesting read, but exactly how many people these days are asking questions about buying Integrales to use as daily drivers?

I would love the chance to drive an Integrale. I am a big Fiat/Lancia fan, but they are pretty limited here in the US.

(I have a Fiat 124 with a Lancia 1.8L dropped in, still undergoing teething issues, but will run soon!) :-)

Thanks for the blast from the past!

Interesting that the C4 in the 'parade' shots -- has its tail down.
(Now, that's a slow parade!)

Heh -- Rowan Atkinson on counterpoint. (I'll bet.)
One car he will not own is a Porsche: "I have a problem with Porsches. They're wonderful cars, but I know I could never live with one. Somehow, the typical Porsche people — and I wish them no ill — are not, I feel, my kind of people. I don't go around saying that Porsches are a pile of dung, but I do know that psychologically I couldn't handle owning one."[15] He appeared to relent from this position when reviewing a Porsche 965 for Car magazine in the early 1990s.

(Great. Another 'Jeremy Clarkson' pov)

sweet article -- thanks for posting. Big lancia fan too -- have always really wanted a fulvia sport zagato.... one for sale a few miles from my house when I was in high school - tried to beg borrow and steal to get the car, but could not raise the cash. Guy only wanted 13K$. Saw an integrale for the first time while in london - they really "work" in person (IMHO)-- really impressive. Need to get a ride in an aurelia gt one day -

Car magazine writers are far more abusive than factory test drivers. It is pretty normal to see the mags with faster numbers than the factory.

Thanks for the great read. I was driving a 911T when the 964s were new and highly-desired play toys for the wealthy. I had to wait out the depreciation curve, but I feel like a millionaire every time I drive my 964.

This is an English magazine and that is the only reason the plastic Isuzu Lotus was included in the test. Anywhere else in the world and that car would not have made the article. That would be like including a Shelby Daytona or Ford Probe in a USA magazine article at that time. That Lotus was very overpriced for what it was.

Oldie but Goldie article. It’s interesting to read about the “run-of-the-mill” Carrera 4 in context of the rarer than hens teeth, bonkers Delta Integrale HF.
