Default First aircooled!!!!!!

So i've been a long time VW driver and Porsche lover. I just sold my 315HP MK3 GTI VR6 for my dream car. Its my 35th birthday present to myself. God I love this thing so far. Its everything I had imagined it would be.....

Here are a few pics of the car I recently sold!!!

And of course my new pride and Joy. Its a US car (seattle area), 1993 C2, 44,000miles and counting. So far so good but don't be surprised to see a lot of stupid questions as although I'm very familiar with Porsche and 911's, this is the first i've owned!!!

Enjoy......

[Cheers
Derek

Welcome to the forum! Nice choice... And nice trade-in!

You will LOVE your new car!

Yes... You need to straighten out the "snarly face" Indycam mentioned. (Or "crooked smile") It is the easiest of all "fix-its". Just unscrew the bottom valance and take a pair of pliers and straighten out the tabs that the screws screw into. When you put it all back together the "smile" should be straight across. That's the price we pay for going a little too fast over speed bumps and changes in pavement height.

Good luck and congratulations!

Very nice! Perfect ride height, nice wheels. Makes me want to go outside with a can of black spray paint and spray my wheels centers black--

Looks kinda like me 28 years ago.........except I went from 70HP '78 Scirocco to a bastardized '68 911 with ~150HP in a cobbled together 2.0S configuration. NEITHER looked as good as your current and former!

Looks good. Like the wheels too!

VW's and Porsche live very happily together. I currently have a Mk5 R32 sitting next to my Carrera RS. Life is good!

Black / black is definitely my favourite combination (er... except white / tan obviously.....). I don't usually like painted wheels, but your suit the car very well - looks good!

The VR6 is nice, but I think you got an excellent replacement. Looks very nice. What brand / model of wheels are on your new ride? They are sweet.
