Default 964 celebration's brakes?

Dose a 964 calibration have turbo brakes?

if so which one are they?

Same as a 3.3 turbo or a Carrera RS?

medium 4 (s4) pot up front and small 4 pot at the rear?

Questions...questions...

I can't understand exactly what you're asking but maybe this can help you: http://www.pelicanparts.com/MotorCity/wmv/brakes.htm (courtesy of member Bill Verburg)

Okay, I think I know what you mean now. You're talking about the 30th Anniversary 911, right? If so, you're correct, they came with the 3.3 Turbo/Carrera RS brakes.

Yes that what I meant sorry to be confusing.

I just read in my Enthusiast's companion that they weren't turbo brakes and are just standard C4 brakes?

How can you tell? and if they are c4 brakes will then bolt straight on to my C2 (it only has 2 pot calipers on the back).

You know what, I think I was wrong. I just looked at a few pictures in this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/964-forum/397166-the-new-jubi-964-a.html
Looks like the Jubi cars have regular C2/4 brakes.

To answer your question, you can fit the 4-piston rear calipers on your car, they are bolt-on. But I think you have to change the master cylinder or proportioning valve, I'm not too sure, maybe someone else can chime in...

Nothing to add, except, Garrett (knowing his wide-bodied C4's as he does) might be the best stateside guy (trying here not to sound too provincial) to ask about such 'Jubi'-type car & brake issues.

Wandering off topic: that German Jubi site is sooo tidy -- I likey.
The cars are to die for, too. JAPPS*

The Jubilee/Celebration cars very definitely have standard C4 brakes - 4-pot front and back.

Your information is good Ilko. C2 models with 2 pot rears have a 45 bar proporitoning valve and this needs swapping to the 55 bar version when putting 4 pots on the rear. No need to change the master cylinder though.

This is from Garrett's Widebody site: http://www.c4widebody.com

Brakes: standard 964 front brakes on the a-arms mounted in the turbo location (outer mounting bolts) with the struts mounted in the outboard position.

965 rear calipers and rotors mounted to the turbo rear trailing arm. Because the standard 964 front calipers and rotors are utilized in combination with the 965 Turbo rear brakes and rotors, a 33bar proportioning valve is used to balance the stronger rear brakes with the smaller front brakes. Installing 965 front calipers, with 965 rotors, and a 60 bar proportioning valve will give the C4 Widebody the exact same brake setup as the 94 911 Turbo.

The C4 widebodies and the celebration cars are different animals. The celebration cars had standard 964 running gear the widebodies had the turbo suspension hardware but not the big brakes.
