later plastic intake on early 964
Hi,
I'm trying to retro-fit a later plastic manifold to an early (1990) C4, with the thinking that air flow is supposed to be better.
I have aquired a plastic manifold, and am trying to work out which throttle body I can use so there's no interface problems with my DME, but that will fit the new manifold. I'm guessing that the later 964 throttle body will fit without any electronics problems - can anyone confirm that is the case and if so, what the part number of the throttle body is please.
Many thanks,
Pete.

Do you have the 964 parts catalog? The throttle body is listed in it on pages 63 & 65. The first has the part numbers of the magnesium intake, the second is for the plastic version.
Throttle body (magnesium) = 964-110-901-00
Throttle body (plastic) = 964-110-128-00

My car has the 95 993 plastic intakes with the MAF. I could look the numbers up for it this weekend. You will need to re-wire and program for the different type of air flow sensor. There are threads here to describe how to do it.
