How to torque wheel spacers?

I've got some 15 mm wheel spacers of the type that bolts on to the existing lugs and then has a set of lugs to attach the wheel to. However, since a wheel has to be off to fit the spacer I can only torque the spacer lug nuts to about 80 nm by gripping the hub with my hand to stop it turning. I can still torque the wheel lug nuts to the required 130 nm when the car is off the jack.
How can I get the required torque on those spacer lug nuts or are they ok to be fitted with a lower torque?
The spacers are just for the rear and there is no problem with arch clearance as they are being used with 16 inch (8J 52 ET) wheels.

They should be the same torque as other wheel nuts. They do end up holding your wheel to the hub.
Put the park brake on. It goes to the rear wheels.
Also get someone to sit inside and stand on the foot brake.

Thanks all, I'll have a go at using the brakes. Using a screwdriver in the rotor vents had also crossed my mind but I was worried that there might be a danger of fracturing the inside of the rotor

Thanks for putting my mind at rest on that one fellas - it seems the way to go when doing the job on my own.
Slightly OT but I noticed an increase in understeer with the spacers fitted on the back (no spacers on the front wheels which are 7J and a similar offset to the rear). In hindsight, I suppose this is to be expected and I will have to choose between looks (rear spacers on) and drive-ability (spacers off).

Steve,
I lift one side at a time and put the car in gear - no probs getting the required torque. Am I doing something wrong / dangerous / stupid or is the fact that I have a LSD that allows me to do it ?
