Default FS: Rear Seat delete kit @ RUF Auto Centre, Dallas

Wayne Corley @ Ruf, Dallas has a black Rear Seat Delete kit from a 964 Cab. for sale for $800.00 including delivery.
I was going to buy it , but I was concerned about the fit into a 993 Coupe.
Porsche OF NA, PCA, local dealer could not confirm it would fit, so regretfully, I am passing this fine unit on to someone else.
It appears to be in great shape from the attached pictures.
Wayne can be reached at 214-269-1570 or at wayne.corley@rufautocentre.com

Note: it is also posted on the 993 Forum.

This works fine in a 993. I just sold the RSD from my RSA to a 993 guy 2 weeks ago and last time I spoke w. him he said that it fit. I'd lose the big handles though

The coupe version and cab version are different.
The overall fit works, except for the large gaps on the sides near the rear on the cab unit to accomodate the folding top mechanism.
I have seen pictures of both and there are definetly noticable differences .
Buyer beware as they say.

I don't mean to hijack your thread but $800 ?? Wow!
I know Porsche parts are not cheap but that looks something anyone can build with a jigsaw, plywood, couple of glove box doors, carpet and screws..
I can't stop thinking that is an overpriced item.. (and I've had my share of unnecessary stuff for the car)

I got $700 for mine so RUF's price is not so bad. I checked the same thread on the 993 board and a guy already bought it. He's even reupholstering it in beige. All in all at least $1000 out of pocket. Supply and demand

Carenewal (Gert) in Belgium can get a new Porsche assembled RSD for
$2700 US!

It makes the $800.00 plus new carpeting very reasonable.

wow- I should sell mine then. Got it swapped out for a child seat for a few years. that would pay for my hotel at Parade this year.

FYI, I paid $500.00 for a genuine RSA unit.

Interestingly it weighs quit a bit more than that the complete rear seat including belts.
