there are 2 different(not counting RS and tt) 993 rear caliper specs
C4 use 28/30 and are silver(usually) 993.352.421(2).21
C2 use 30/34 and are black(usually) 993.352.421(2).00

the pistons are measured at the wide part below the rubber dust boot

If you don't have much luck with the claim you should be able to re-sell them on ebay. They're a much desired upgrade for the early 964 C2s which have two pot rears. I was looking for a pair myself a while back but ended up getting some 928 S4 calipers which are the same size. This was thanks to the help and advice from a number of Rennlisters including Bill .

Have you upgraded the front calipers already? Again the advice I received on here is that 30/34 rears are too big if you're sticking with standard 964 front calipers.

BTW How much did you pay? The going rate for a good pair of 30/28 calipers in the UK seems to be about £200.

That was a good price in my opinion. You could probably turn a small profit if you sell them on. As I say, I upgraded my 2 pots just recently but if I hear of anyone on the UK Porsche forums that are after similar calipers I'll let you know.

BTW there are a pair of 993 calipers advertised here:

http://www.type-911.co.uk/up993.htm

but even though they are black, make sure you check with them that they are the C2, larger piston version that you are after.

Hold on...
Did you actually take the piston out? This is critical because the part that sticks out the dust boot is smaller and that's not how you measure the piston... you may have got the right part!

Hi ,of course not, you can mesure the piston without pull it out, with a vernier or even with a rula it is so straight foword it can only be 30/28 or 34/30 and it is at the piston not at the outside of the seal I suppose.
