This happens especially when the radio is on, but sometimes when it's off!
I changed all 4 speakers last year.
Any Idears?

whinning is generated from the altenator, you have 1990, need filter mod in the back. i had ignition noise, whit stock amp. i grounded the amp at the seat instead of the factory groung going thru the harness. solved my problem.

for me it was. someone posted a porsche document and this is one of the fixes. as soon as i grounded the stock amp at the ground stud under the seat, its right next to the amp, the noise went away. do you have the stock stereo with the amp set up??????

slide passenger seat all the way back, remove floor mat and pull factory carpet back, it is not glued but has a snap to hold it down. the ground lug is right at the rocker panel. when you remove nut, you might need to remove the existing ground strap and tighten another under and the stud is not welded to the frame, just a factory bolt. make sense. it can come loose when you loosed the initial hold down nut. do not get to crazy when you tighten it do not want to snap off stud.

there is one nut to hold the ground stud on the car an another to secure wires to stud. i meant to say that you might have to tighten the nut that holds the ground stud to rhe frame. you will see when you look at it.
