Ken
993TT is a 3.6L electronic fuel injection, twin turbo, 6 speed AWD car, produced 400 hp for the US and 408 for the ROW.
0-62.5mph 4.3 sec 0-99.5mph 9.5 sec 0-124mph 15.1sec standing kilometer in 22.4 sec top speed 181 mph

94 turbo 3.6 was the last of the single turbo mechanically fuel injected, 5 speed rear wheel drive car produced 355 hp for the US and 360 for the ROW.
0-62.5mph 4.6 sec 0-99.5mph 9.5 sec 0-124mph 15.0 sec standing kilometer in 22.5 sec top speed of 179.5 mph.

Similar in performance but completely different drive, feel and handling. The 993TT is more refined very linear and easier to handle consistently the 94 is old school raw power that kicks you in the back of the head as everything comes on at once. Both great both can be made faster and both very different.

Thats the official claim, you know the car is probably faster than that. The 94 3.6 T won Car and Driver's 0-60 for the year in 93 (0-60 in 4.0 sec). The fastest car I had before my 3.6 was my 2000 twin turbo Esprit and that doesn't even pull like the 3.6.

Yes official claims but Porsche has alway been conservative. Although, I am not willing to abuse my car for a few tenths.

I hear that. I was at my favorite watering hole the other day, and one of bartenders wanted me to burn the tires taking off, and I was like yeah... right. I just don't get it what's the point. I used to know this guy in high school that used to have small nissan truck that could do that.

0-62.5mph 4.3 sec
the officially quoted times are 4.5 sec for the 408 hp car and 4.3 sec for the 430 hp car.

Really. So the numbers I am using are for the Turbo S? Interesting. The numbers are listed for 1996 so I was assuming it was for the non S car.

So it looks like both are very close give or take a tenth. Just depends what you prefer and how much old school you have in you.
