i dont know if you guys know this or not but there is a drill fixture for a 964 that makes this very easy...i bought one last year and couldnt believe how easy it was...it bolts right into the exhaust port and perfecly centers the drill bit(forgot size of hand). you then drill it and it just leaves the thread part in so you just use a pick and pull it out... best $100 i spent..i spent over 5hrs trying to remove 3 studs with a rosebud torch;penetrating oil and even tig welded a nut onto the existig stud. i emoved one of them...i then purchased the fixture and had them both fixxed in 30 min..

jerry, even if there were threads left i would grind them flush and use the tool...i know how to extract broken bolts and literally spent hours trying on some very stuborn ones..when i tig welded a hardned nut to the broken stud, heated it and soaked in penetrating oil squinching it 10 plus times the stud would fracture below the welded nut. this happened over and over...
i purchased the tool from the gy that makes them...im not around the shop today to look it up but a search on here or pelican will turn it up..

so that was a screen shot from my dual monitor computer... it looks like Rennlist just automatically resizes the image. That image was 439 KB and 2560 x 1024 pixels. So feel free to add your pics as attachments. They will just be resized if too big.

Looks like I need to find the jig. Got the car home tonight and the one that had about 1/4" showing is now flush. I will also search for the jig and once I get everything, I will start a new thread with my experiences.

Thanks everyone for the help so far. Really do not know what I would do without this forum.

Thanks. Funny I was going through the many pages of that post when you posted. Looks like several variations. I hope I can just find someone that has them already made.
