9M MoTeC + 1 USA Version
We have begun two conversions this winter, one engine is a 42k mile engine which will get just the top end with ported heads, a new 9M USA camshaft profile, Fabspeed headers (with heat), and MoTeC. The second is identical except it is a 156k mile engine and will be completely rebuilt with 9M sport pistons.
Here is a look at the 9M Sport piston in comparison to their race piston and a stock piston. This is the last of the original design sport piston and there is a new design underway. This piston weighs 100g+ less than a stock piston, has a slightly higher compression ratio (about 11.7:1) and I'll measure it to get the exact number. The race piston weighs about 100g less than the sport piston as a comparison. I'm going to be sending the 9M piston out to have a coating installed on the skirt like the Mahle racing pistons.
The stock piston is on the left, 9M Sport in the middle, and 9M Race on the right. Please excuse the writing on the stock piston, I use it for discussion in my engine management classes.

Hi Geoffrey,
Am always pleased to see others reaching out. They're in good hands with you.
Both engines same displacement?. My presumption, you're doing the head work? Have some fun, and we'll be the better for it!
