To 1st question: head on over to the Concourse and Car Care forum. (It'll involve washing, claying, polishing, waxing. And it's worth the effort.)
2nd point, you'll want them elsewhere if you accomplish Point 1. Of course, that's the case, regardless.

not really good pictures , just let the rims powdercoated in black but not shining, don't know how you call that in englisch.
