I think I might have lucked into getting this in my recent eBay purchase. Unfortunately there are no part numbers anywhere on the body or insert. The shock itself looks EXACTLY like an HD except it is about 1" shorter free length, is green, and has the numbers 237-96 stamped on the insert. A quick look at the Bilstein road race guide shows these as the exact rebound/compression numbers for the 964RSR shock.

Since there were no part numbers on the shock, the guy at Bilstein said there's no way they could be Bilstein shocks. I find that hard to believe. I did not notice the rebound/compression numbers until after I hung up.
