Info needed - Euro-spec 964 Carrera RS
Hi all,
I know this is the 964 tech forum, so apologies in advance if this is the wrong place to post this, but it seems the most appropriate.
I am looking at a particular Euro-spec Carrera RS that was built/delivered in Germany in 1991. It's got around 6,000 miles on the odo now, but the car is in pristine condition otherwise. What is market (ballpark obviously) for this car?
My previous searches have placed average prices for Carrera RS Americas at around US$40,000. I presume that there is some premium for a Euro-spec car... so I'm guessing around US$50,000 is reasonable?
Appreciate input anyone can throw this way!

Well depends on which RS you are looking at and how it is configured, is car in states or in Europe. The RSA and and Euro Rs are completely different cars, the RS is at least 2X the price of and RSA.

I've seen RSA in prestine condition sell for high 40s to low 50s but most euro RS in great shape will sell for mid to high 60K euro..... See the difference?

Hi all, thanks for the replies.
pu911rsr - It is a real deal Euro-spec Carrera RS Lightweight, built, bought and located in Germany. It seems from what everyone has said, and what I have read, the average price for these seems to be in the 60 - 70,000 Euro range.
CWay27 - Yes, thanks. I also took a look at the RS America for sale page, it seems the range there is between US$40 - 50,000, with really good condition ones (or highly optimistic owners) commanding close to US$60,000 for one.
NineMeister - Would you happen to be the NineMeister as in the NineMeister who is highly regarded by the UK 964 community?
Stewart H - I'd be interested in finding out more about this car if you happen to have any links or further info you can share on it.

There are a few on sale in the UK at much more reasonable prices albeit with higher mileage and obviously not in new condition.

60,000 to 70,000 Euro will only put you in one in the UK. The Good conditioned, low milers are going for silly money in Germeny at the moment. At £60,000 it was a good buy in the UK especially as a couple of RHD Touring versions have recently sold for £65,000 and the LHD Lightweight is a much more pure experience. So, it looks like H&S are trying to make £9,000 profit if they paid the full asking price for it. Good luck to them - it remains to be seen how long they have it for.
I paid £48,000 for a 32,000 miler in seriously good condition back in July and I am very happy with it. The ca is becoming a valuable car in Europe and there is a very good book, produced bt Tony Carey for the PCGB called "Porsche Carrera RS - The 15 Year Rise of a Track Day Icon" It is available on the UK version of eBay and is a collection of magazine articles and experiences of the car. Well worth the £15 asking price.
