I just skied Taos today. Here for the week and they say its the best conditions in 30 years.
100+ inches and they normally get their snow in March. And its like Spring skiing- in the 30's

To put things in perspective, Alta, UT had 197 inches of snow in January. That ties the record for January from 1996. We have a guy that lives on our street who was born on our street in the 1920s. He pointed out as a few weeks back that this is the most snow he has seen since "the winter of '48". That's what I like to hear!

Great pics btw... The snow looks amazing across the West...

I pulled out my stuff today to make sure I have everything. I fly to Denver for a week at Beaver Creek on Saturday. At least I can ski while my car is in pieces.

Just got back from Winterpark and have to share the view from the back Cirque. Out of the five days I was there the back was only open for two hours on one day. Bit of a hike in and out of the back bowl but the untracked and blackened snow (from the mortars) was worth it

And the view from 13000 ft looking over the North Park...
Now I just need to find a ski rack for the C4.
