Default Motec kit - a fair price???

Unfortunately I need to sell my 964. I had gathered all the needed stuff to do a Motec conversion, so this needs to go too. What would you think I should/could ask for a complete kit?

- new MoTeC M600 ECU (the good ecu)
- programming cable USB
- new MoTeC to 964 Loom, made by a Motec-freelancer who works for WRC factory teams
- new set of matched Bosch 380cc injectors
- all new Auxilliary Sensors
- basic maps to get it started, but needs to be mapped on dyno

Demonfish, I was tempted to make a similar response as I'd like it too

Jyrki, Seriously though, check out the post from Colin (9m) about halfway down the page to get an idea https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...apacity&page=3 , then divide by ten and offer it to me

What options are enabled on the ECU? Specifically what sensors are included? What is the extent of the wire harness?

Any of that gear good for a 964 turbo? EFI is a LONG term goal.

Geoffrey,
No options in this ECU, yet. Of course a wide-band lambda and data-logging would be nice. You can order these anytime you like (prices in AU$):
26101 M600 LOGGING 512Kb $ 178.86
26102 M600 SINGLE WIDEBAND LAMBDA $ 338.84
26103 M600 DUAL WIDEBAND LAMBDA $ 881.89
26105 M600 ADVANCED FUNCTIONS $ 535.19
26110 M600 ENABLE CODE $ 1,087.00
26112 M600 DRIVE BY WIRE $ 543.05
26116 M600 VARIABLE CAMSHAFT CONTROL $ 471.24
26117 M600 OVERRUN BOOST $ 275.00

Sensors included are TPS, Air Temp, and MAP.

The wire harness replaces the Motronic with Motec (bolt-on, reversible). There are also a shift-light and launch control options. The AFM-wires in engine compartment will be used for the new sensors. The harness is documented.

Ag02M5,
on a 965 you could use the Motec M600, but this harness wouldn't fit and the injectors are only good for ~450hp max.

I am aware of the price of the M600 unit (50% more than M48), just trying to find out what a complete kit goes for. The Ninemeister kit seems to include installation and mapping. The installation is very simple, but with my kit you'd need to find a dyno and someone capable of mapping the engine. My unit has 911 3.6 engine maps in it, but the maps are NOT optimised for 964.

At 3.8bar of fuel pressure, the injectors are good for supporting a 400hp engine +/- a little.

In the US, the parts that you have would be roughly $4600 new.

The ECU would be great for a turbo EFI conversion. You'd want to upgrade to the dual lambda and 512k of logging although it does come enabled for 8 hours so you can utilize it to dyno tune the engine. The ECU allows for 4 different programs by simply turning a switch, and has enough input and outputs to do more than you'd want with for a TT Porsche application.
